Imy recently took care of an open heart patient. Her shift had ended and she was preparing to go home but she couldn’t leave the parking lot. She felt that she was needed, knowing that the night shift was short on heart nurses. She returned to the ICU and ended up staying until 1am to take care of her open-heart patient. Imy described that the patient had tears in his eyes when he saw her return. She went above and beyond for this patient who needed her help and she deserved to be recognized for her selfless gesture.
