Molly is patient, kind, non-judgmental, and an advocate for staff and patients, and families.
Molly is the Nurse Manager on our unit which is no easy task. She has been a nurse at Strong with Solid Organ Transplant for about seven years. In those seven years, Molly has been extremely dedicated to our unit, staff, and patients, and families. She started out as a staff nurse and then served a few years as an Assistant Nurse Manager before becoming the Nurse Manager. When things became difficult as the COVID-19 pandemic started, Molly stepped up to the plate. She remained calm during the stress of the unknown and she consistently communicated new information and education to keep everyone safe. She also picked up patient assignments when the staffing was in need. Staff trust her, look up to her and are so thankful to have a leader like her. She is patient, kind, non-judgmental, and an advocate for staff and patients, and families. If patients and families have concerns, she takes the time to really listen and advocate for their needs. I became an Assistant Nurse Manager almost a year ago. During this past year, Molly has guided me in my new role, serving as a mentor to me, and educating me on the important aspects of being a nursing leader. She has helped me to become confident in my role and strengthen my leadership skills. Molly truly exemplifies what a Strong Nurse should be. There are not enough words to describe how much she means to me and our team.
