She stayed in the room to comfort the patient and her daughter. Ashlee is compassionate with everything she does.
Ashlee always goes above and beyond for patients and her fellow coworkers. She doesn’t hesitate to stay late to make sure all patients have what they need, and that orders are followed through. She is quick to offer assistance and always willing to take on any task given to her. She is an excellent team player and exemplifies the CHRISTUS difference each shift she works. I have known Ashlee prior to her working at CHRISTUS and I can say she always exhibits professionalism in any position she is in. She never leaves a man behind in any situation, follows through to the end, and gives 110%.

Ashlee went out of her way to get in touch with me when she found out that I had been discharged with positive blood cultures. She could have easily given up since I was discharged, but she did not. She went out of her way and a lot of people would not have gone to the lengths that she did for me. She went above and beyond for me.

There are many situations that I have seen Ashlee in where she has gone above and beyond, but I will just describe a few examples.
1. There was a patient whom Ashlee was worried about all day long. She trusted her gut and was relentless when calling the physicians. That patient ended up going to emergency surgery. Ashlee prepped her for surgery and then stayed in the room to comfort the patient and her daughter. Ashlee is compassionate with everything she does.
2. During the winter storm Ashlee slept in my office so that she could help the team and patients. It was miserable for everyone sleeping at the hospital, but Ashlee never said a negative word. She never does. I have never heard one negative thing come out of her mouth.
3. Ashlee always stays late to help when she needs to. She works days but will switch to a night at a moment’s notice just to help the team. I strive to be a nurse like Ashlee. Everyone should strive to be Ashlee. I cannot say enough about Ashlee. She deserves this award and deserves to be recognized for everything that she does and who she is. To know her is to love her.
