This PACU nurse goes all out for her patients, on this particular day, after recovering a patient, she transferred the patient back to ambulatory care. After a while, ambulatory called over to PACU asking for help, the patient’s blood pressure had dropped and her condition required rapid response. This PACU nurse ran over and help with the resuscitation of this patient and stayed with her until she was stabilized. During her shift, this nurse went over and checked on the patient frequently. Assuring the patient, if she needed anything she was happy to come over and help. When the patient was ready for discharge, this nurse went over to ambulatory care and helped get her in a wheelchair, and actually pushed the patient out to her car. This nurse was diligent in providing comfort to her patient and following up with her. It was refreshing to see her compassion and care. This is how this nurse practices, looking out for her patients, and always paying close attention to their recovery, calling the MD if anything looks out of normal. She really contributes to having excellent outcomes for our patients and providing exceptional care. This nurse also is such a blessing to her team, she helps cover call on weekends and never complains about her patient loads or her schedule. She is such a dedicated and hardworking nurse and she never asks for recognition.
