We were at the hospital to be with our DuBois Humanitarian Riders Club member as he requested for his final hours on earth. During this time, nurse Allison Fleming was our friend's RN. We want to recognize her acts of care, kindness, and compassion. My club brother and founder of the humanitarian riders and myself heard Ally talking kindly to him the whole time. We saw her touch his face and she ran her hand through his wavy hair many times to help calm him in his last minutes of life. In our opinion, Ally's compassion for her patient was over the top and we had to share this! If there was an award of recognition higher than this, I believe we may have looked further! I am sure other nurses have the same qualities in their field, but Ally was our friend and brother's nurse and stood out!
