We are already having a hard time with a baby in the NICU, and to know people like Hannah are looking after us is such an incredible gift in such a hard time like this.
Hannah was our guardian angel this past Friday. My partner was walking down the hall near the NICU and was not feeling well - she had started bleeding (she was 5 days postpartum). She kept telling me she was okay, but Hannah happened to notice her having some discomfort and immediately responded and helped. It turned out my partner was having a major hemorrhage and losing a lot of blood; she fainted only moments later, but by that point, Hannah had already mobilized a response team and they were completely prepared to get her into the ER and eventually across the street to HUP, where she had emergency surgery.

We honestly believe Hannah saved her life; we were getting ready to go into the bathroom and my partner was trying not to make a big deal of it, but Hannah’s intuition and immediate action I truly believe saved my partner’s life. And she was so humble and kind in speaking with her after the whole ordeal. I don’t know what else we could do for her but we feel so lucky that she happened to be the person walking by at that moment, and you are so lucky to have someone like that working at CHOP. We are already having a hard time with a baby in the NICU, and to know people like Hannah are looking after us is such an incredible gift in such a hard time like this.
