She made me feel so safe after such a long, brutal, and unstable day. Her temperament really put me at ease and I am/was so grateful she was my nurse.
When I arrived in the ER yesterday I was completely broken emotionally and in brutal, exhaustion pain. I suffer from a pancreatic disorder as well as a chronic pain disorder. I was feeling extremely anxious and was worried about managing my pain. When I was brought to my admitted room and met Winnie, all of my fears and anxieties evaporated. She was so kind and calming in her presence and really took the time to talk to me as a patient and a person. Her genuine kindness and going above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and understood were amazing. She made sure she did everything to put me at ease. I have dealt with a chronic pain disorder for 10 years and have been in the hospital hundreds of times - Winnie is one of the best and kindest nurses I have ever had.

She made sure that I always had what I needed and was so on top of the time that I never had to call about medication - something that made me feel comfortable enough to relax. She made me feel so safe after such a long, brutal, and unstable day. Her temperament really put me at ease and I am/was so grateful she was my nurse. She is truly one of the nicest and most compassionate nurses I have ever met. She made me feel truly safe to the point where I relaxed enough to sleep - not usual for me. It has been such a gift to have her as my nurse. She went to other floors just to get me juice at 3 am and she spent a lot of time helping me and I feel like she was truly trying to go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, calm, and cared for.

Her compassion has really shined through and it has been such a positive and moving experience. I am so grateful and feel so lucky to have her as my nurse and to get to know her as a person. She put my mind at ease so my body could start healing. She is an amazing person and I am lucky to know her and have been taken care of by her. I hope she knows what a good nurse and kind person she is and the difference she has made on such a tough day. She made a huge difference for the better in my day and life. Winnie truly is a spectacular person and nurse.
