I am Dr. Awadh Al Malky, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Head Consultant. I am nominating nurse Leah because I have worked with her for almost three years, and she gives the maximum care to her patients. Leah is kind and works professionally. As we all know, Critical Care should have a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, but because of increased admissions from the peak of Ramadan Season, nurse Leah has been given 3 or 4 patients already and even included in the first ROTA of Admitting Nurse in their Patient Assignment. Despite the ratio of patients given to her, she did not complain and continuously cooperates with what her Head Nurse is always asking. Instead of complaining, I found she coordinately cooperates with the other nurses in any admissions of patients in our area. This is a team-spirited behavior, and I am grateful to have a nurse like her. I wish her all the luck!
