Adam is a nurse in the emergency department who comes to work every shift with a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and provides compassionate nursing care to every patient he touches.

A recent example of Adam’s daily willingness to go above and beyond is a story about a young teenage patient that spent an extremely long amount of time in the ED. This girl had been here for several weeks while receiving care for her mental health and had not seen the light of day or left her room during that period of time. Adam was the first nurse to recognize this and decide to act. He took the time out of his busy day, while caring for several other patients, and walked this young girl around the department. Just this little act of kindness and compassion changed this girl's outlook for the rest of the day. This is just one small example of Adam’s daily acts of kindness and compassionate nursing care. He is always willing to take an assignment or step into a role he’s never done and maintains the same positive, caring attitude.
