I am newly diagnosed with lung cancer; I had admission to the Medical/Surgical Unit on the 10th floor post-operatively. It is the first time in my life that I have stayed at the hospital. I want to extend my great thanks to all nurses and other team members at the King Hussein Cancer Center for their exceptional efforts toward patients and families. They did their best to make me at ease during a stressful time. I firmly believe that this specialized cancer center has many DAISY nurses, “Ammar” my primary nurse is one of them.

Ammar provided me with exceptional care during difficult times. He stands out because of his great personality and compassionate care. His attitude was professional, and his comforting voice made a difference when he entered the room. He made me feel like I was at home and took care of me as a member of his family. Ammar's response to the patient in need is wonderful. He always explained what he was doing and promptly answered my concerns. Ammar treated me for post-operative pain according to the medical instructions, which made me comfortable and satisfied. He also helped me remain comfortable most of the time and promoted confidence in the patient and family. He reassured me and stayed on top of any complaints. I felt at peace during my stay in the hospital. Ammar helped me recover faster, making a difficult situation very peaceful. I am so thankful for Ammar's job. He went above and beyond to provide excellent nursing care to his patients in the unit. I hope he will be recognized for such a great job!
