I would like to share a communication from one of our patients:

“Let me first say that Anne is incredible. I was so frustrated with my experience trying to schedule my procedure that I was ready to cancel my surgery. Anne spent an hour to talk to me about my medical record and what to expect on my day of surgery. She listened so carefully to all my concerns and made an appointment for me to come in to speak with an anesthesiologist. She made me feel valued and reassured. I have been around the world working in public health and Anne is the highest quality nurse. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and will do anything to keep them safe. Anne is the reason I will stay with Banner Healthcare. I know I can come to her with any concern, and she will help me.”

As Anne’s manager, I witnessed her work outside her role to help this patient by calling clinics, physicians, and other nurses. Anne has a vacation when this patient is having surgery and has placed contacts and resources, so this patient’s care is uninterrupted. She has followed up on this patient's (and others) care on her days off. Anne lives the mission of Banner and works everyday to foster accountability, continuously earn trust, and stay obsessed with the customer. Thank you, Anne Joy!
