I have been a Stage IV ovarian cancer patient for over 8 years. I have been in and out of hospitals many times during my cancer journey and have been blessed by the care of many capable nurses over the years. I can say that the 6th Floor nursing staff at Sky Ridge Medical Center is exceptional. I am certain I could sing the praises of each one, but there is one nurse in particular who was a special blessing to me during my stay. This nurse was my angel sent to me just at the right time. She is a remarkable person. She was so loving, kind, and attentive to all of my needs. She would go above and beyond her normal duties to ease my fears and promote my comfort not just in my body but in all aspects as a whole person. Even though she was busy, she would come into my room several times a day to see if there was anything that I needed. I was so well cared for that sometimes I felt as if I were her only patient. It is clear to me that nursing is not simply an occupation for her but a ministry she devotes her whole heart and soul to. Grateful thanks to the entire Sky Ridge nursing team and my angel Heather for being so wonderful to me.
