McKenzie came in to work at 8:00 a.m. on her off day to make sure her patient from the day before would make it to his wife’s breast biopsy downstairs. The patient’s wife was tearful about how sweet and caring this was of McKenzie.

Phone call from the patient’s wife: We had her husband as an inpatient. McKenzie McDaniel took care of her husband and found out that she was having a breast biopsy in the Women’s Center the following day. McKenzie took it upon herself to find out what time her appointment was and came in on her day off and transported her husband to the Women’s Center so he could be with his wife during the biopsy. The wife raved about her husband’s care but had to tell someone how grateful she was to McKenzie.
