Every day, Paxy encouraged our newfound sobriety and said only positive and uplifting things to us.
My husband and I aren't from Killeen. We were visiting his mother when the abscess on his arm started to get worse. Long story short, we ended up here in the emergency room and my husband ended up being admitted to the 5th floor. That's where we met Paxy. The first morning she came in and began to check his vital signs and ask questions and when my husband began to answer honestly about his history of drug use; instead of making us feel embarrassed or ashamed, she commended him for his honesty. Like I said before, we're not from here and we don't have much of a support system here and we don't have any money either. She made sure I always had something to eat so my husband wouldn't have to share his trays with me, and she never made us feel embarrassed or ashamed for asking.

Every day, Paxy encouraged our newfound sobriety and said only positive and uplifting things to us. Then she asked to see us after we go into rehab because she wants to see us doing well. Paxy made us feel like one of the family and made us feel we will be able to stick with our sobriety. She does her job well and her bedside manner is exemplary. Then, after dealing with all her patients, she goes home and takes care of four children. She has made us feel like we can get our life back on track which is exactly what we needed. Thank You!
