I know Nurse Jennifer mostly through MyChart and the telephone. Through both of those relationships, I find her cordial, courteous, prompt, and professional. Moreover, I find her competent in and dedicated to her responsibilities. Additionally, I sense her to be focused on quality service with specific reference to handling questions and coordinating multiple schedules. Lastly, I sense her to be cognizant of and sensitive to Dr. C's time pressures. Long way of saying I have enjoyed knowing and working with Nurse Jennifer. I trust her and respect her. May she continue in roles for years to come.

Over the many years I have spent with Dr. C and my general practitioner, I have come to know Jennifer quite well. Her kind and caring personality is genuine and always appreciated. However, she went above and beyond the call of duty. I had been experiencing a fairly high degree of pain in my abdomen and after seeing the Doctor, I was told I needed a CT scan and that they would call me to schedule the appointment. Well, after two weeks went by, Topeka called me and said the first available appointment was 8:45 am almost a month later and nothing sooner, so I took it.

I called Jennifer and told her my dilemma. She contacted a CT tech, who got me in for the scan the next day. Jennifer also canceled the previously scheduled appointment for me so I didn’t have to. I was in pain. Jennifer took care of everything! Because of her going above and beyond, I didn’t have to suffer for 2 more weeks and got the CT scan done and results in the next day. I cannot thank Jennifer enough for all she did.

I'm usually resilient, but my husband, had a massive stroke in 2016 and it devastated me. My strong, fit, husband was barely 62, and Jennifer became my lifeline. Her clear explanations and compassionate guidance were/are invaluable. I never waited long for Jennifer’s callbacks. She knows how important timely responses are to patients' caregivers, and did/does take the taxing emotional labor with generosity. I've continued to need my Jennifer lifeline in the years since my husband’s stroke.

From J's terrible burst hematoma to his heart attack, to life-threatening kidney infarction, Jennifer was there, responding promptly, compassionately, and professionally, and shoring me up with her caring tone. Sometimes, Jennifer's voice was the only thing that kept me from utter despair. All the nurses of Dr. C's care team do great work, but Jennifer consistently goes above and beyond. She clearly has a gift for nursing and she generously shares that gift with patients and their families/caregivers. She remembers J and me, she knows us, and she cares, how can she help but be my ideal nurse? I am happy this award exists because it allows me to truly thank this very special nursing professional, Jennifer Leonard.

Jennifer has always been so kind and helpful. Jennifer never let me feel like an annoyance or bothersome. She always made me feel comfortable, especially in phone conversations. Jennifer is a caring and pleasant nurse and receptionist. She always makes you feel important and wants to let you know she cares. She is very thorough with answering phone messages for prescriptions. I can always count on Jennifer with any questions is always calming and reassuring; I trust her and Dr. C. I am so blessed!
