Tamara Wollitz is my closest continuing contact with Kaiser. I’ve had a video meeting with her nearly every Monday since June 2020. It has meant so much to me to have this regular and invaluable support as I struggle to live. I enthusiastically nominate her for the DAISY Award.

Each week Tamara and I talk, and often I do exercises under her guidance. Most importantly she relives my anxiety and inspires me to be realistic and active. She makes suggestions about what I could do that would benefit me the most. She asks pointed questions and when necessary, consults with my doctors. My primary physician, pulmonologist, and cardiologist have all expressed great respect for her. I trust her as my conduit to them.

From the beginning, Tamara has connected with my wife and caregiver in a collaborative way. Tamara thoughtfully responds to her questions and concerns and treats her as a key colleague in my care. She works with us in practical ways and offers compassionate care to each of us. We both look forward to our interactions with her. Tamara does all this and more while being kind, positive, and truthful. She is intelligent and has a great sense of humor and a ready laugh. She has a way of putting me at ease that is very much appreciated. I’m grateful to have met her in person at MOB 2 when I was there for a pulmonology appointment. Tamara was just as engaging and helpful then as in our video visits.

Tamara Wollitz is an Extraordinary Nurse and model medical professional. I am certain that I am not the only patient who has enjoyed and benefitted from her care. Thank you, Tamara, for your remarkable work!
