Devyn has been a great example of a leader who goes above and beyond for his team and the patients on his unit. He is an outstanding teacher and takes his time with his new employees to make sure they are getting a good onboarding experience. If they aren't doing well in orientation, he tries to think outside the box on how to help them become successful. He checks in with them frequently.

During our recent MDH visit, he was extremely helpful to our department in getting records that were requested. They were all completed fully and correctly. Most specifically he is a great teacher. I recently overheard him training new team members on restraint application. One team member seemed to be having a harder time feeling confident in doing this task. He took his time with her and explained the skill in detail. His clinical experience and compassion for his patients showed in the way he took the time to train her. As an educator, I appreciate his detailed approach to training, and our team members and patients will receive quality care because of him.
