Wow, where do I even start with this "angel". I was blessed by meeting Tegan for the first time last week. Right away when you talk with her you know your loved one is in great hands. My mom has been in here almost four weeks and I don't even have words that could describe the amount of care and professionalism that your team has but Tegan has her own special way that makes her stand out. My mom has had her entire body infected, her foot amputated, then her leg amputated, plus various other complications to where one of the doctors said she wouldn't make it through the weekend. Well by the grace and will of God and your staff, almost two months now she's still with us.

As I said, everyone is amazing but when Tegan is here just her care and her ways make you think your loved one can make it through anything. My mom is 85 and I'm sure not easy to take care of but when Tegan is here she makes it all seem effortless. She goes that extra mile to make the patients feel like they're the only ones in the ICU. She talks so sweet and reassuringly to her, fluffs her pillows, jokes with her, wipes her eyes, fixes her hair, says she's sorry if it looks like my mom's in pain, and just makes her feel safe, trusted, and secure as well as us.

She goes above and beyond what her job calls for. The things she does can't be taught, it's just in her. This has put our family at odds with my stepdad and brother, hoping she wouldn't make it, while they drained her bank account and caused trouble at the hospital. We were upset that they would hurt our mom, but Tegan shut that down quickly. They had to leave, called security as well as the police and Tegan set up this thing called 2Security HUB, that you can only get in with 2 passwords. I mean she even did that for us. She is absolutely unreal and you're not going to find a better nurse that's this well-rounded. Thank you for St. E's version of an angel.
