She was never short on hugs for us during some very difficult times. After she answered all our questions, she hugged us and cried with us.
Yanixa is hard-working, determined caring, passionate, loving, and a fighter for her patients. Makes sure her patients get the best care. Will go above and beyond to see her patients improve. Gives her patients and their families hope. Lastly, she has a love for her patients.

Yanixa is a phenomenal nurse she goes above and beyond the call of duty for my dad and every member of our family. My teenagers even realized how special she is. She is an amazing RN. Compassion is the best word to describe the care that she provided. She also takes initiative, calling for MD advice when needed. Answering the call light promptly was remarkable even when there was no unit secretary. This nurse made the impossible, possible.
***
She was my father-in-law’s nurse. Yanixa always came in with a big smile on her face and a big “Hello Poppa Bear”. She was extremely gentle but firm and truthful. She never rushed through our questions or concerns. She was never short on hugs for us during some very difficult times. After she answered all our questions, she hugged us and cried with us. At times she’d run out of the room onto her next patient whom I’m sure received the same extraordinary care. We need a million more Nixies. We appreciate all she did to keep “Poppa Bear” comfortable.
