She has the unique ability to be both knowledgeable and empathetic at the same time.
Cindy was nominated by two patients and their daughter for the care Cindy provided during two hospitalizations. Both mother and daughter are also nurses.

The comments from the daughter read, “My father was emergently hospitalized. My siblings and I all live out of town from my parents. This was a scary 2 weeks for all of us but mostly my mother. A nurse by the name of Cindy McConnaghy was my dad’s nurse for quite a few days. Her compassion, expert care, and great communication made my mom feel at ease with my dad’s hospitalization. The ironic part was my mom was a patient at Millard Suburban four years ago and Cindy was her nurse then. My mom remembered Cindy and her kind and assuring care back then and Cindy remembered my mom. So when she walked into my dad’s room, this gave my mom so much peace during a very difficult few weeks. I myself am an ICU nurse in Philadelphia. I got to meet Cindy at the end of my father’s hospitalization when I made an emergent trip to Buffalo. She is one of those nurses that makes the patient feel like they are the most important person she is taking care of and I know she must make all her patients feel this treasured and important.”

The comments from the patients read, “My husband and I have both been blessed by having Cindy as a nurse and caretaker. Her caring and skills impress us both. She has the unique ability to be both knowledgeable and empathetic at the same time. She made a difficult time bearable for us both. As a nurse myself, I admire both her skills and her caring. She is a real role model.”

Thank you Cindy for being a skilled and compassionate nurse that always leads with CARE.
