I have a history of bariatric revisions starting with an emergency operation in July 2021. Over the past 18 months, I have spent the majority of that time in the hospital. I suffer from constant pain. I have relied on nurses for everything. I saw firsthand how hard they work every day. I am having a procedure soon; I am a wreck but I know this procedure will change my life and I will finally get better. The nurses have been so comforting and supportive despite my episodes of anxiety and frequent questions.

I am writing to tell you about Nadine Ishak, RN. She went above and beyond to make me feel safe and cared for. Ms. Nadine has been the best! She is an asset to this hospital and needs to be recognized for her performance. Yesterday was the first day in months that I didn't cry. Nadine makes me smile and laugh. I lost hope and stopped looking forward to the next day. Nadine helped me to be positive about getting better. She is on top of my medications, when she gives me ones that taste bad, she makes me laugh! She shares her personal experience which makes me feel like a human being and not just another patient to check off. Nadine is an amazing nurse and I hope she is recognized for her caring and her job proficiency. She inquires about my needs and follows through by bringing me things I need before I ask for them. Nadine is DAISY-worthy!!!! I am so thankful she is here as my nurse. I don't know if I would get through this without her! Thank you for recognizing her abilities and hiring her. I'm crying writing this because I'm so lucky to have her assigned to me during one of my worst health crises.
