Tori is such an exceptional nurse. She was so personable and had great bedside manner. She thoroughly explained every procedure and medication beforehand and always asked if I had any questions. I was very nervous as this was my first-time giving birth and being a patient in general. I have been a medical surgical/telemetry nurse for 4 years and was so impressed with Tori’s nursing capability. She took time to listen to my concerns and worries along with giving a knowledgeable answer to each item. She supported me in all of my decisions and made me feel at ease and calm laboring with my first child.

When I was admitted to the hospital, I had originally decided not to receive an epidural, which she supported me fully and gave me laboring positions and techniques for, along with willingly showing my husband these without me having to ask. When I changed my mind and asked for the epidural, she affirmed my choice and supported me in that decision as well. Once I had the epidural, she was very timely and diligent in correctly positioning me and checking me for comfort and pelvis positioning. My blood pressure dropped a couple of times, and she immediately took action to make sure my baby was healthy and swiftly contacted the anesthesiologist for medication. She stayed with me until the problem was resolved.

I feel that she went above and beyond with her great communication and positive attitude whenever she came into my room. She truly cares for her patients and made a positive difference in my labor and delivery stay. She is everything every nurse should aspire to be. Every patient would be lucky to have her as their nurse.
