First, Desiree should be nominated because she truly embodies what nursing should be. From the time she introduced herself at shift change, she never stopped providing us with the highest quality nursing that we have seen in our 15 years of combined nursing experience. With both of us being nurses, we are uniquely qualified to observe and understand the struggles of nursing; sometimes things are tough and you might not be able to be your best. But that is not the case here; Desiree was absolutely a super Nurse from constantly checking on us, to delivering our breast milk to the NICU. We could not have dreamed to have a better post-partum nurse.
