Largie works with Lymphoma patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Largie works in Texas, however, Texas looks small in comparison to Largie’s personality. No matter the time of day, Largie has a huge smile on his face and can be seen comforting his cancer patients. He is a skilled nurse that always puts his patients first. On any day, he can be found carrying bags/luggage to and from the waiting room to assist us. He greets everyone with a warm smile, answers any questions we may have, and most importantly, is there to listen to his patients. Having cancer can be scary and exhausting. Largie has the ability to make patients forget all their problems for a short time. It is difficult to capture Largie’s qualities on paper; however, he is not only a nurse. He is someone that touches the lives of his patients and someone that deserves the DAISY Award!
