I have worked in this Emergency Room for 5 years and Ana has been the nurse with the most skill, knowledge, and personal growth. Ana came from a lower acuity hospital in search of skill improvement, higher nursing practice and to overall become a more experienced nurse. She is always looking to help other nurses and be involved in procedures she has not before done or seen done.

One thing that I truly admire about her is that she is not shy to ask questions about something she does not know. Her genuine spirit and willingness to learn have made her a fast critical thinker and a great asset to our emergency department. When we are busy, she is not one to sit around if her patients are up to date. She is always looking to lend a hand to other nurses. She goes out of her way to make her patients feel at ease and satisfies their needs. She’s a team player, takes constructive criticism, and applies it to her nursing practice immediately. She’s always searching for new things to learn and how to better provide safe nursing. It is always a pleasure working with her. She’s one nurse who has not only shown her ambition for improvement but has flourished in achieving it.
