Shova displayed the utmost care and professionalism while taking care of me.
Shova is an amazing representative of Woodland Heights. Her dedication and hard work do not go unrecognized. This is why she was chosen as our 2023 first-quarter DAISY Honoree. She received multiple nominations from her patients and their family members, with the following comments:
“Shova displayed the utmost care and professionalism while taking care of me. Her kindness and confidence were well above par. She continued to be extremely diligent during her entire shift while at the same time allowing me to rest and feel at ease. She gave my family total ease to leave me for the evening by her display of compassion. She assured them that there would be nothing that would come up or that I needed that she would not be able to handle. She communicated with such empathy but also strength.”

“This nurse was on the top. She blew in on the night shift and started being a truly -loves their profession- nurse. She always made my uncle comfortable, feel cared for, and like he was not just an old man. We had been here 3 nights already with no one giving him a bath or changing his gown. She covered that! She washed his mouth out numerous times during the shift. Shova was there to suction his throat before I could call for her. She explained everything that was going on. I cannot say enough about her kindness.”

“My husband was very sick and had a lot of good nurses, but Shova went over and above to do personal things for him, like giving him more baths, changing his clothes and bed sheets more, and making sure he knew exactly what medications he was taking. She took time to show him all the names of them. She was so courteous and kind, as were most of your nurses. Shova, thank you for all that you did for us.”
