Jill Mason, RN, was recognized with a DAISY Award for her professionalism and advocacy for patient safety. At the time, she was working in Medical Specialties, but she is now a nurse in the Pediatric Recovery Unit.

Mason was informed there was an issue with a patient's transport and took it upon herself to contact the on-call social services staff member to coordinate alternate transportation.

Because of Mason’s commitment to patient safety, the patient arrived safe and sound at the facility. Her compassion and caring nature shined throughout the situation and exemplified the Culture of YES.
