Kori is an outstanding nurse. She displays all the ITEACH values. She went above and beyond for me during my recovery phase. She was attentive to my needs, checked on me frequently and most of all got to know me as a person. She was very cordial, polite, and had a sweet disposition. She showed me immense compassion and empathy and I was not upset at all that I did not get a room and had to stay in the PACU holding area overnight after my surgery. After talking to Kori, I found out that she used to work with my daughter on 5 west and my heart instantly melted. She actually enjoyed talking to me and getting to know me as a person and not just a patient, teaching me about my recovery along the way. I found out she got called back in late that night, and she checked up on me. She relieved my anxiety and brought me peace after my cancer surgery. I told my family 5 times about this sweet angel, so they pushed me to nominate her.
