My 21-month-old daughter was admitted with pneumonia and pleural effusion. This was the most frightening and overwhelming experience of our lives. Marilou was absolutely amazing. She provided excellent nursing care, demonstrated compassion, competence, and confidence, and was committed to providing the best patient care while nurturing our family.

My daughter got transferred to the PICU, but right before her transfer, I will never forget the look of sadness in Marilou's eyes at the shift change. I felt she connected with us and felt our pain. Marilou followed up with my daughter when she was in the PICU, and it was so refreshing seeing her; she truly cared. Marilou was the nurse that admitted her and we were lucky enough to have her discharge my daughter. I want to say thank you for the outstanding care and for her always going the extra mile. Cannot thank you enough.
