I’m turning 83 years old tomorrow. I was a Beaumont patient for almost three weeks after falling at home. I was sore, bruised, and tired but luckily didn’t break any bones. I never knew what to expect because I had problems with my heart and blood sugar irregularities in the hospital (I’m an insulin-dependent diabetic). I had difficulty getting in and out of bed and a chair and was unable to shower independently.

John was there to assist me and answer all of my questions. He helped me understand issues and changes to my care. He patiently explained things to me, as often as necessary. He was concerned about my well-being and truly cared about my comfort. We always looked forward to seeing John. Every day, his knowledge and skills were evident. His devotion and passion for my well-being made a huge impression on me and my family! John really stood out and went way beyond the normal call of duty. After first meeting John, my son-in-law said, “I would go out of my way to have him care for me!” and my daughter said she felt the same way.
