As a co-worker, I first met Brandy as I was being trained. My first impression of her was kindness. I had a sudden coughing fit as I was about to enter a patient room and Brandy immediately offered to make me tea with honey. Observing her over the years always brought a smile to my heart. It wasn't until I became a patient that I saw close-up how lucky and blessed her patients are.

I had suffered all night not being able to sleep. At one point, an RN came and replaced the IV line which had been discontinued. As soon as she left the alarm sounded. I was so happy to see Brandy enter my room. She explained why it was important for my health to keep the IV in when I wanted it out. She tried to place it in 3 other places so the alarm wouldn't go off. In addition to her skills, knowledge, and experience which made all the difference. She went above and beyond to make me feel pampered by looking for other ways to provide me comfort.
