Claudia was a joy to have in clinical. She was eager to learn and willing to step up and help no matter the circumstance. I had Claudia as a student as she was finishing her last semester of nursing school and preparing to enter professional practice.

One particular example of how she went above and beyond occurred one evening after her precepted shift was completed. After obtaining permission from her clinical instructor, Claudia stayed after her precepted shift to assist a nurse in another hall in the facility. The nurse stated that if it were not for Claudia's assistance with supervised medication passes and patient care, she would have struggled immensely. She stated that Claudia's professionalism and willingness to step in and assist represented wisdom beyond that of a nursing student. The residents were well cared for and Claudia's positive attitude was felt by all working that evening.
