Chris is known to take patients home when they have no transportation. He will often do this on his own time.

On one particular occasion, Chris cared for a homeless individual when he learned that the patient had no shoes. Chris gave him the shoes that he was wearing. When the patient was discharged, Chris drove the patient to where his bike was located. When he realized the gentleman's bike was broken, he attempted to get the bike fixed for him. When asked about this, Chris said, "I read this book daily that tells me I should do this."

It is this sort of kindness and thoughtfulness to patients that exemplifies the spirit of a DAISY Nurse.
