I have been a patient for two years now. I had a bone marrow transplant, and Carmelo has been with me since the beginning. As a young adult, finding out you have this type of disease is very scary, and yet they always help me remember to be positive and that I still have many, many years to come. They are an excellent team that makes me feel like family and makes the hospital less scary. They are always looking for the best way, and they are kind, funny, and friendly. They always take care of my mom and me, and they have just become family. Even if I don’t feel great, they manage to make me smile and laugh, and that’s the best medicine in the world. I am super grateful I got them as my nurse team.
