My husband was a patient for the third time since Sept 2022 at CRMC. He is 84 years old, admitted for heart vascular stent placement. Then we were moved from Critical Vascular ICU to 4N. We also had great nurses!! Rebecca McCallister was outstanding. I am also elderly, age 82. I was with my husband until he was discharged. Rebecca was so knowledgeable, and her skills were great. She was kind and patient with not only my husband, but with me also. Explaining to us the unknown issues and helping us to understand. She was a comfort to both of us. My husband has a very bad hearing problem, even with hearing aids. She was so good at making sure he was understanding what she was saying. This could be very exhausting for us. She helped us to understand more about home care when we were being discharged home (this was all new to us). Rebecca became very special to us. She is a very Extraordinary Nurse. She was at our every need.

Rebecca was a very caring and efficient nurse. She helped K but also had him do as much as he could on his own. She helped train the family on the best ways to encourage and help him. CRMC is very lucky to have a nurse like Rebecca who treats patients with dignity and compassion. We noticed she was helping train student nurses and she did an excellent job. We are very lucky that Rebecca was assigned to our care!
