It is something special to see a nurse providing care to their full potential, not only in skill but in compassion. Some nurses do their job exceptionally well and then others perform even above that standard by seeing and caring for the full patient like Ada did for my grandma in the hospital. Ada embodies compassion and exceptional skills. As a nurse myself, it was reassuring to have Ada at my grandma’s bedside status post heart cath and the news of her 4 blockages. Ada treated her as family and with the utmost professionalism and care. I cannot recommend her enough for this award, knowing its meaningfulness as a fellow nurse. She truly possesses the heart of a nurse, and makes me happy to see fellow nurses like her in our profession. I feel as if she provided care well above the usual standard of care. She possessed attention to detail, gentleness, and patience despite the numerous critical requirements post-op cath. I hope and pray she is able to see this and know someone spent the time to nominate her due to her exceptional care as a nurse. Much like she spent the time to provide the care she did. I cannot thank her enough.
