Sarah Jarrar joined Englewood Health in 2019 and began her nursing career on 8 Dean. In 2021, she joined the ICU team. She is an amazing practitioner who delivers quality patient care with compassion and professionalism. On more than one occasion, patients and families have written letters complimenting Sarah and expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the care they received. In a profession where critical decision-making is required, Sarah continuously exhibits prudent assessments in the face of any situation. She demonstrates a passion and commitment to learning and growing in her profession and mentoring others. She has been instrumental in precepting new graduates to the Intensive Care Unit. In May of 2022, our Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) merged into one unit. Sarah was one of the first MSICU nurses to eagerly express her willingness to be cross-trained in the care of the cardiac surgery patient. Sarah’s passion, commitment, and dedication are qualities she possesses that make her a well-deserved recipient of the DAISY Award.

Sarah is exceptional! She is so smart and has an incredible amount of empathy.
