Tracy has been a nurse for 30+ years and her hard work, kindness, and gratitude every day is worthy of the DAISY Award. As a vascular surgery fellow with 5 years of general surgery training, I have rotated at over 12 hospitals and have worked with 500+ nurses. Given that I have interacted and worked with hundreds of nurses at many different locations, I can honestly say that Tracey is exceptional and deserves recognition. Even after 30+ years as a nurse, she still works very hard, including working overtime. In the OR, she is prompt and attentive to detail. She is always kind and has a positive attitude. She represents OR nurses very well with reputation and grit. Her hard work and perseverance have motivated me to succeed using the qualities she displays. She is more than deserving of the DAISY Award, and her being presented with the award would be an honor to not only her but the entire OR staff, as well as the vascular surgery staff, as she approaches retirement in the upcoming years.
