When there is a job to be done, people can trust and be reassured that Josh will not only get it handled but he will do it with integrity, respect and love. He puts the unit first, he is always there for his colleagues, and he truly cares about the patients, families and people around him.
Our clinical nurse manager is an amazing asset to our nursing team. I precepted him as a new grad and have seen him accomplish so much in his time here. He worked hard to get his CPN, CN3, NP, and now he is our CNM. He has worked on countless projects, including creating our unit's scheduling committee, utilizing cryotherapy for patients receiving chemotherapy, initiating avasure for our MSP population to decrease cost, identifying barriers to delays in chemotherapy administration, and much more. He has also presented posters at ANCL and SPN conferences as well as a podium presentation at SPN. He is always available for staff questions or concerns. He is very approachable. He is knowledgeable, efficient, compassionate, and a great resource. Although he is in a management position, he has no hesitation to step in and help at bedside. Patients and staff think he is a valuable nurse and deserves this recognition.

Our clinical nurse manager is a phenomenal leader for our unit. He has excelled in his professional career: he achieved his MSN, CNM, and FNP and graduated from the UCLA Nursing Leadership Fellowship. He spearheaded the initiation of Avasure monitoring on our unit which has helped with our staffing and has made many contributions to our hematology/oncology population- such as staff education on cryotherapy and researched causes for delays in chemotherapy treatment to our patients. I am the chair of the "Quiet at Night" committee; he facilitates this committee and attends every meeting, supporting us in any way he can. He helps us thrive. More importantly, he is always present on our unit and makes himself available for any concerns. He is very approachable and proactive about reaching out to staff. Despite being in a management position, he never hesitates to help out with patient care when needed. He is hands-on, whether it be placing a PIV, speaking with anxious parents, repositioning a patient, or ordering supplies. You can always count on him to be there for you and help make your load a little easier. When I worked with him as a bedside nurse, He was one of those nurses you wanted at the bedside with you if you were in a code. This goes to show that depsite climbing up the professional ladder, he still remains an amazing and compassionate bedside nurse at heart.
He is extremely deserving of the DAISY Award.

As Clinical Nurse Manager, our [Nurse] goes above and beyond for everyone he works alongside. Clinical staff and other leaders seek him out as knowledgeable, trusting, honest and transparent with a heart of gold. When there is a job to be done, people can trust and be reassured that he will not only get it handled but he will do it with integrity, respect and love. He puts the unit first, he is always there for his colleagues, and he truly cares about the patients, families and people around him. Nobody is more deserving, and I feel Josh is always uplifting others, so now is our time to uplift him and show him our love and appreciation for him. Josh routinely stays over late or comes in early, whichever his unit needs that day to be most successful. Rarely do I hear him complain, and if I do, he is right away trying to find a solution to the problem. Josh is an overachiever and someone we should all strive to be like in our professional careers. He demonstrates every characteristic imaginable of a DAISY Nurse and I know this award was made for him.

I have had the privilege of working with this nurse since I joined this incredible unit in 2017. From day one, he has stood out as an exemplary nurse who is always willing to help out his fellow nurses in need. From leading the team as a charge nurse in the toughest of days to jumping into action to teach, mentor, or provide an extra pair of hands as a resource nurse to being a patient advocate while providing incredible care as a floor nurse. Now in his role as a Clinical Nurse Manager, he continues to go above and beyond. He allows our nurses to feel supported, confident. and encouraged, our patients to feel well cared for, and our patient's families to feel heard and respected. He works tirelessly to make us feel supported and valued so that we can provide the highest quality care to our patients. I continue to learn more and more from him every single day and know I can walk into any shift when he is there when I need it most.

My manager is such an essential part of our floor. He does so much for the patients and staff. He goes above and beyond for everyone, making sure we all feel supported and safe. He takes the time to check in on us individually and actually shows he cares. I always feel comfortable going to him for any questions.
