Krissa took care of a family who were involved in a car accident. It was a grandfather and his 5-year-old grandson. After the accident, the grandson managed to crawl out of the car, run quite a ways, and flag down help. His grandfather stated his grandson saved his life and was his hero. Krissa took care of the grandfather for several days and got to meet the grandson. She called the trauma department, and they collaborated together to create a Brave Award Certificate for the grandson. The next day, when the grandson came to visit, Krissa presented the Brave Award to him with all his family. It was such a great experience. Krissa has the kindest heart and goes above and beyond for every one of her patients and their family members. She genuinely cares for everyone involved with her patients. She truly is a gem to 5 South.
