Ronda's clinical skills are top-of-the-line, but her compassion is what makes her an Extraordinary Nurse.
In the last year, I was, fortunately or unfortunately, a hospital customer on several admissions. This was the first time I had required hospitalization for my care since birth. I’ll admit I’m not a good patient. I have high expectations for care because I know what should be happening. It is very difficult being on the other side of the needle as you would say. I always felt the highest form of praise when evaluating nurses is that you would want them to take care of your family. I can highly recommend Ronda, and I would say she is the person I would want to take care of my family. I am glad she was there for me. Being a nurse from the facility puts pressure on, but also being the boss, I’m sure that makes it doubly as intimidating. I appreciated all of the nurses but Ronda went above and beyond, she made me feel like I was the most important person. She was very thorough and did little things to try to make me feel better, and she put her foot down and made me do what I was supposed to do (I wasn’t so happy with her then), waking me up to take deep breaths. She kept my family informed and made them feel better knowing she was there taking care of me, since they were not allowed in because of Covid restrictions. Her clinical skills are top-of-the-line, but her compassion is what makes her an Extraordinary Nurse. Thank you, Ronda, for taking care of BRHC patients and also for being my nurse.
