Christy recently had a patient who was actively passing on the medical unit. The patient had loved ones at the bedside but really wanted to see his beloved dog one last time. His request was overlooked previously, but not by Christy. She made it a priority to fulfill a dying man's wish, and coordinated with many different departments, and treated this man as a person, not a patient. This man and his dog were happy to see each other, and the dog curled up on his bed and seemed content to finally know where his dad was. Christy always treats her patients with dignity & respect and serves as a role model and comforting presence to all that know her.
