Nurse Brenna was such a joy to have to work with the doctors and us to help take care of our girl. This is not our first time here at HDVCH, and we definitely recognize the gift it is to bring joy, peace, comfort, and even laughs in a time that’s trying and difficult, and just plain hard. Brenna took the time to listen to our child, who has medical PTSD and anxiety and can get very worked up.

Brenna took the time to listen to them playing the tongue drum and instrument music therapy brought to encourage her to reach her goals and to celebrate the wins she had when she did reach her goals overall. She went above and beyond to make sure we had been taken care of. As a mom of a “medical child”, there is nothing like seeing someone take care of, listen to, have fun with, and comfort your child. Plus, she listened to me and my concerns and thoughts and took them seriously enough to get answers or comfort and reassure me.
