My light at the end of the tunnel during hard days was the possibility that “Tawnya was coming.”

It’s almost selfish to say that what you, Tawnya, brought me was peace of mind. Prescott Acutes was always somewhat tumultuous and uncertain. To be honest it was the only thing that I never wanted to deal with as a new Manager. My light at the end of the tunnel during hard days was the possibility that “Tawnya was coming.” M would tell me to keep me going and give me just that — wind in my sails to power through.

Having you there,Tawnya, was probably the most fulfilling and satisfying part of what we know now became the last stage of that contract. Your presence is Prescott was monumental and instrumental in making that place so great. I don’t think they will ever come anywhere near the level of detail and service from a Charge Nurse. We are lucky to have you on our team and now get to share you with other programs.

It’s funny because what you were to me in Prescott - a breath of fresh air and hope, is exactly what you are to the other programs you visit and help. You now get to touch other patients, hospitals and acute programs with the same care you provided our hospital in Arizona. And we hear it all the time how amazing you are. There is no greater compliment as a manager. I know this was delayed from 2023 but it’s almost fitting we meet now, under these circumstances to give this award to you. You would be my 'DAISY' year over year. Thank you for always being caring, thoughtful, helpful, and a true testament to a leadership role within our organization. We love you!
