Wendy Acolatse, MSN, RN

What made Wendy Acolatse stand out was she is passionate about her profession and the care of her patients, specifically our mother. We are advocates for our mother and Wendy handled all our questions, calls, pages and questions that we often left on the board and window with amazing gravitas, patience and empathy. It is clear Wendy has the core nursing strengths - integrity, a moral compass, and attention to detail. Upon discharge received from the case management staff, this is where Wendy went above and beyond assisting us with her problem-solving and commitment to patient advocacy. She took the extra time to call several pharmacies for our mother’s medication. She ultimately walked the prescription to the medical pharmacy onsite explaining what was being prescribed and with that characteristic of efficiency, we were able to pick up the medicine and get our mom home safely. We have never had a nurse with not only the stamina and endurance to deal with the 3 of us, but what was more important, was she treated our mom like she would treat her own mom. Wendy epitomizes in every way what a nurse represents.
