Abby goes above and beyond for not only her colleagues but her patients. The Psychiatric field can be very hard and challenging, but every day, Abby comes to work with a smile on her face and the purest heart. Recently, she has been tasked with being a charge nurse in CPEP, and I can truly tell you, she exceeds any expectations the job comes with. There was a very violent patient recently, and Abby was the first person to come check on me after the situation had calmed down to ensure I was physically and mentally okay. She is kind to her patients. Even when she has been running around all morning, she makes sure her patients are well cared for and makes the time to ensure her co-workers are as well. I look forward to coming to work and seeing Abby as the charge nurse. I hope one day I will be half the nurse she is. She is kind and considerate, and CPEP, as well as St. Joseph’s Hospital, is extremely lucky to have her.
