I came to the ER for a miscarriage and had one of the most amazing nurses I’ve ever had. During a stressful, high anxiety visit due to miscarriage I was scared, nervous, and my emotions were a wreck. I am not native to Oklahoma so most of my support system is in Texas. Being here by myself was not helping, but Jana James went above and beyond to make sure I was not only okay but calmed my anxiety as well. She helped clean me up and make sure I was as comfortable as possible given the situation. She sat with me, held me, and cried with me. I have never been through something like this, and it made the world of difference her taking the extra steps and comforting me and connecting with me on a level more than just emergency room care. Being 26 years old and going through something like this without any immediate family support available it sure helped having her as my nurse!
