She is smart and compassionate and is a reliable resource to the nursing staff at Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Watching Christina at work inspires and motivates me to do better. She really goes above and beyond for her patients and her fellow co-workers. She is always smiling, positive, and approachable. Even on her not-so-good days, she still manages to stay positive and puts her best foot forward. She is smart and compassionate and is a reliable resource to the nursing staff at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. If the hospital was a basketball team, she would definitely be the MVP.

Christina is an outstanding and vital nurse. Over time, I have seen her respond to codes as an RRT nurse and really goes above and beyond. There have been several times the doctors have not come in time, and she quickly jumps into a lead role and runs the show. She speaks out loud to the team about what needs to happen because of patient history with confidence. I am really impressed by the way she leads an RRT. Everyone respects her decisions when caring for patients. One time she was making rounds and happened to pass by a room that looked like the nurse needed help. She did not hesitate to help the nurse. The patient was not looking good and proceeded to take the EKG and then call a code. I think that’s the best thing about her: she never hesitates to help a fellow employee or patient in need. Nothing is too big or too small. She doesn’t avoid hardship; she jumps right in on the action. She is always in a good mood with a smile under her mask. She is a vital person during codes and an asset to VPH.

I witnessed Christina’s compassion towards a patient and put him at ease. The patient was very anxious and nervous ever since he was admitted. Christina was helping the ECHO tech with Definity. She talked to the patient throughout the procedure answering any questions he may have and assured him he was receiving the best of care. I could tell he felt better and more relaxed just talking to her. That one conversation that she took the time out to have with the patient changed the patient’s experience for the better.
