She has an innate ability to understand complex concepts and convert them into actionable plans, which has been a significant asset to our team.
Denise Martin is a true example of servitude and professionalism. Denise is driven to serve her team and the patients they care for with compassion, patience, grace, and humility. Denise focuses on the experiences of all of our ED patients. Denise has transformed our ED to be one of the tops in the system for patient satisfaction, with our scores at the highest level. With over 34,483 visits just this year alone, our NPS score has been distinguish for 11 months in a row. In addition, the ED has taken the number one spot in our community as The Best of The Woodlands-ER Department 2024. This recognition supports our commitment to our community.
Denise can be found on the unit providing support to her team during difficult cases. Denise recognizes the success of her colleagues and is frequently a source of friendship and support to her fellow directors. Her unit managers benefit tremendously under her guidance as she provides them education, leadership tools and support to conquer the challenges that a large ED can bring. She is thoughtful to her staff and respected by the physicians. Denise spreads joy during a patient's worst hours with her kind demeanor and caring heart.
Not only does she demonstrate the positive impact our work has had, but she also had a plan prepared concerning the Employee Engagement Survey which resulted in our ED moving into the tier 1 category with a 95% response rate. I’ve never seen a leader exemplify our core value of driving success so well.
I’m confident that with the roadmap that she has laid out for our Mass Casualty Incident process for our ED and hospital we’re on the path to success if anything ever happens.
Another program that was implemented under her leadership was bedside EKGs. An RN noticed ST changes on the patient's rhythm with no prior signs of a STEMI. Thanks to the new monitoring equipment a STEMI code was activated, and the Cath Lab was able to swiftly intervene.
Denise is a strong and confident leader. This trait has been of benefit to our ED because each day, my colleagues and I can come to work knowing that we can expect full transparency, respect, and decisive leadership in our department. She has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to success. Her ability to work efficiently under stressful conditions and manage deadlines speaks volumes about her hard work, determination, and composed demeanor. She has an innate ability to understand complex concepts and convert them into actionable plans, which has been a significant asset to our team. In addition to her professional qualifications, Denise has a pleasant personality that enhances her relationships with colleagues and employees alike. She is a collaborative teammate and a natural leader, always ready to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to our team’s success.
