My mother, M, was admitted to the hospital and taken by ambulance. For the majority of her stay, Hallie took care of my mother and made sure her needs were met, and went above and beyond the call of duty. So, therefore, we felt the need to recognize her outstanding performance in her field and nominate her for the DAISY award.

We wish there were more nurses like her. For example, when my mom needed her hair brushed, Hallie took it upon herself to do that for her. She made sure my mom was comfortable every day and packed my mom’s stuff up when she was free to leave.

Hallie gave me directions over the phone when it was time to be discharged. The bottom line is that my mom has been hospitalized 3 times at 3 different hospitals in the last 6 months, and this has been the best so far in our eyes when it comes to overall treatment to my mother that she has received.
